Frequently Asked Questions

What is Permanent Cosmetics?

It is a revolutionary method of applying pigment into the upper dermal layer of the skin.  Permanent Cosmetics is also known as Micropigmentation, Semi Permanent Makeup or Mirco blading.  The method I use is Micropigmention were pigment is implanted by a micro needle and Machine which is safer and more gentle on the skin and usually only requires one touch up.

Does it hurt?

I get asked this alot! The answer is no it will not hurt. I use two different numbing creams so you should be completely pain free during the procedure.

How long does it last?

This all depends on your skin type and your aftercare. Initially after the first treatment I recommend that 90% of people need a touch between 6 - 8 weeks. After that time you should not need another touchup and for 12 to 18 months, sometimes longer.

Are there any Side Effects?

For Eyebrows and lips generally there is little or no down time. For Eyeliner the eyes generally swell slightly for 48 hours.  After the initial treatment the colour in the treated area will be darker but after a few days this will fade and the true colour will emerge.

Who gets permanent Makeup?

Mainly those who have sparse to no Eyebrows. People that suffer with Alopecia or post Cancer (have to be 6 months Post treatment). Athletics, busy people or shift workers that dont have time to fill in their eyebrows, eyeliners or lips.  The beauty of Permanent Makeup is there is no more smudged makeup, no more re applying during the day and a full face natural look for holidays or people who exercise or swim.  Eyebrows can also enhance the face lifting the eye area and I find it can take years off a person which always pleases my clients.

Is it Safe?

The procedure is completly safe. The highest quality pigments on todays market are used, these are manufactured under a very strict ISO 90011 and certified under EN4600I (European Medical Standard) Governed production quality. Yvonne is highly trained in Blood pathagens and follows strict HSE guidelines on health and hygiene within her salon, so you can be sure you are in safe hands. I would ask that you do not attend another salon for touch ups as I've had Clients that have done this and regretted it. They have returned to me with undesirable results and I have had to send them for laser removal those costing them alot of upset, money and time to fix.  So please be patient and go on the waiting list and I will get you in or book online in advance.
